There you go Sven… 7 and 6’s for our boys… a 9 for one of the Kiwi’s which you would expect as they won… can’t see too many 2’s, 3’s and 4/10…

Re: British Lions 2nd Super Rugby Test vs Crusaders
Thought it was a very poor game, just far too many basic errors. Just shows the virtual impossibility of building a competitive side from scratch in this day and age. Still, some good signs from the Lions but yet again far too much aimless kicking from Webb.

Anyone else underwhelmed by the Kiwi sides we've seen so far ? I expected to be far more impressed.

I thought the ref was all over the shop, with regards to both sides.

Decent game I thought.... played some half decent stuff ball in hand... the skip had a superb 2nd half which was important.... to be fair apart from him there is probably not going to be hardly any starting in a few weeks time when it really matters... Biggar played well as did Lawes while he was in... CJ grew into the game and Sinks looks a massive impact player... the Highlanders got fuck lucky with their 1st try... massive obstruction on Henshaw... but over all it could have gone either way... the main worry (laws injury apart) was the way Coles and McGrath got bullied in the scrum ... but to be fair I'd be very surprised if either are anywhere near the test team.

Well, the Lions have only scored 2 in 3 games so far.

I'd check what he's paying to kick a penalty.

What are the chances of Joseph scoring a try against this mob today?

Paddy power offering 4/1 at any time.

Oh, and I haven't even given him a score, so not quite sure why you think I would give him a 5.

I'd give him a 3, just to wind you up.

'so what does it actually matter?'

Not a lot, when you win pretty easily.

Re: British Lions 2nd Super Rugby Test vs Crusaders
Sorry, I meant what YOU thought he had done to justify a higher score, not what your "experts" thought.

Obviously, we have a higher threshold for ratings down here given most Lions players received 7s, 8s and 9s on the lists you've posted.

Anyway, they're only opinions from journalists, so what does it actually matter?

Independent

George Kruis – 8 out of 10

A very impressive outing as he bossed the lineout, with all but one throw managing to find a Lions hand. Stood out in the first half as he carried well, and may have forced his way into the Test side with this showing.

George Kruis 8/10

Caught offiside early on because of over eagerness but is another who appears to be a Test certainty with his superb line-out display on both Lions ball and on oppisition ball.

Daily Mirror

George Kruis

A composed presence in the engine room and fiercely physical at the contact area. 7/10

Daily Express

Lock George Kruis Dominated the Line out potential test starter. 8/10

Daily Mail

5) George Kruis (Itoje 61) - Outstanding all-round display saw the Saracen stand toe-to-toe with decorated opposite man Whitelock with superb line-out contribution. 8

Even in WALES online

George Kruis 7

The Saracen is a nuts and bolts players who does the basics extremely well. A reliable target at the line-out, the England lock hit his rucks, made his tackles and carried when needed.

NZ Whinge Rag..... and Jonah.... 5/10

NS

So Hogg and Davies, who both went off pretty early with injury, should have got higher than that?

I can't even remember seeing George North touch the ball.

List me 3 things that Kruis did to justity a higher score?

The fact is, if you take out the Hogg and Davies scores as they are anomalies, they rest are fairly even.

Which is strange because the game was a completely, lop-sided, one-way blowout huh?

Oh, and who is Aaron Goile? And Hamish Bidwell?

Which is STILL wrong.

They lead the overall table by 7 points from the Lions, who are managing to go through the entire round robin without having to play a single NZ side.

They're 9 points ahead of the Hurricanes in the NZ conference.

They ARE though, 30 points ahead of the very best Australian side, the Brumbies.
